Flex 4 In Action – Reviewed by FFD Magazine

October 9, 2010 Leave a comment

Flash and Flex Developer’s Magazine recently reviewed our soon to be released Flex 4 In Action book. Here’s a quote of what they had to say:

The book brings Flex 4 development to a wide range of developers who are either taking their first steps in developing applications using Flex, or those who are more experienced but who need to fine tune their skills when utilizing the Flex 4 technology. The authors make the book very accessible to a wide range of developers, starting with beginner developers and moving to more senior/advanced developers… This is a book that you want to read from cover to cover the first time and then return to it when working on specific components as a reference material.

Check out the full review in the October 2010 edition.

Flex 3 in Action co-author’s Android Marketplace featured in Wired

June 11, 2010 1 comment

Faisal Abid, a co-author of Flex 3 In Action has been working on his latest and greatest project – AndSpot.com, a new Android Market Place. It’s currently in private beta to both users and developers, but you can still sign up using invite code WIRED3R5TY.

Since it’s private you’d have to sign up to find out more about what makes AndSpot.com different, all I can say is that their plans take the concept of a market place to a whole new level.

Go Faisal!

February 27, 2010 Leave a comment

Peter Armstrong was kind enough to write a review on Dzone based on the early access chapters that are currently available as part of Manning’s Early Access program. Peter writes:

Flex 4 in Action, currently available in an early access format from Manning and due to be published in June 2010, is shaping up to be the new definitive guide for Flex 4.

Thanks Peter, appreciate it!
